Yes, the derived utility from LEED-certified buildings is similar to the regular buildings. In order to achieve the lower consumption of energy, water, or any other depleting resources along with higher comfort of living the LLED certified buildings utilise specific building materials at the construction stage and sophisticated engineering systems during occupancy. Engaging an appraiser who is not familiar with these materials and systems elevates the risk of relying on erroneous appraisal and can be very, very costly.
